Prepare your texturing export

To export maps from substance painter you will need to create an export preset.

Note

You can name this export preset wizard or choose any other name.

Setup you export preset with this nomenclature :

  • Base color : $textureSet_BaseColor.$udim

  • Roughness : $textureSet_Roughness.$udim

  • Metallic : $textureSet_Metallic.$udim

  • Normal : $textureSet_Normal.$udim

  • Height : $textureSet_Height.$udim

Your map files should look like this after the export : DefaultMaterial_Joe.UDIM.extension

Example : characters_Joe_modeling_main_main_1001_BaseColor.exr

Then, click on Wizard > Alternative text Export data. It will open a window. Enter the export preset name you just created, choose an image format and an extension and click on Export
